Celebration of Life
Funeral Mass

“Music is integral to the funeral rites. It allows the community to express convictions and feelings that words alone may fail to convey. It has the power to console and uplift the mourners and to strengthen the unity of the assembly in faith and love.”
(Order of Christian Funeral, 30)

Dear Families,
My condolences and prayers are with you as you plan for this very special Mass for your loved one. We will do everything possible to offer support and guidance as we begin the planning process.
When you call the Church to set a date for the Mass, a date for a family meeting will also be set. During this meeting, we will usually have Father Johnson, a Minister of Consolation, and myself as Music Ministry Director. We will spend time in prayer, learning about your loved one, and choosing the readings and music for Mass. Other details concerning the Funeral Mass will also be discussed at this time.
At your convenience, please review the music and reading selections offered on this website. The music portion of the Mass will include a cantor and a pianist. Additional vocalists or instruments, such as flute, clarinet, violin, or small ensemble are also options; however, there would be an additional fee. Please also contact me with any questions or concerns. I am here to help!
God Bless you and your family,
Music Ministry Director
